Marijuana Dispensary in Laurel Canyon
The Laurel Canyon neighborhood is bordered by Studio City, Hollywood, and West Hollywood. Over the years, it has been home to many notable celebrities, including legendary music icons Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell, Jim Morrison, Neil Young, Carole King, and Brian Wilson among others. Before becoming a residential community, Laurel Canyon was a valley that supplied farmers with water. A real estate investor and engineer named Charles Spencer Mann developed Laurel Canyon. A trackless trolley was built to allow residents and potential buyers to travel from Sunset Boulevard to Lookout Mountain Avenue. Today, Laurel Canyon continues to attract those involved in the entertainment industry as it is in close proximity to the Sunset Strip and Hollywood.

Just a short distance away, you’ll find the hustle and bustle of Hollywood, where you can feel like a star and dine like one too. Hey, you might even spot one (even if it’s just on the ground). Did you know that many famous musicians gathered at the Canyon Country Store?
If you thought the Canyon Country Store was just some ordinary grocery store, you are sadly mistaken! While it in fact serves as a grocery store and deli, it has a rich history in music, being featured in songs by some of the greatest rock-n-roll artists. Well-known musicians like Jim Morrison, Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell, and more would gather on the patio and play music.
In the Doors song “Love Street,” Jim Morrison makes a reference to Canyon Country Store in the lyrics, “the store where the creatures meet.” Cass Elliot, a member of the Mamas and the Papes, lived in the storage room of Canyon Country Store where she wrote her song “Twelve Thirty.” If you are interested in visiting the store once frequented by rock legends, you can find it at 2108 Laurel Canyon Blvd.
